PAM Jaya Studies Plans to Increase Water Tariffs

"Non revenue water becomes high," he said, Thursday (11/14).

Arief encouraged the public to be wise. If PAM water is used for commercial purposes, then the tariff also needs to be adjusted.

He realized that the community's activities were carried out to boost the economy. However, Arief hopes that the effort will not harm the surrounding community because clean water is also needed by other communities.

"We'll remind them persuasively with target that has been set," he added.

Jakarta City Council's Commission B Chairman, Nova Harivan Paloh supported if PAM Jaya takes strict action for this matter.

"It is fair enough to apply the tariff based on their consumption," he stated.

Nova added PAM water misuse also has an impact on the problem of leakage. Therefore, Nova encouraged PAM Jaya to conduct a review to take action on the misuse.
